Abstract

Forestier-Rotes-Querol disease consists in calcification and ossification of spinal ligaments and peripheral entheses.
We showcase a patient who was admitted for a dysphagia study; in imaging tests, hypertrophic ossification of
the anterior common vertebral ligament was identified, characteristic of Forestier disease. After analysis of existing
literature, we reviewed this topic, focusing on dysphagia as an atypical debut and on the radiological findings
observed.
