Abstract

The diagnosis of breast tuberculosis is difficult and rare in Honduras, and it is often wrong if it is not suspected. The clinical and diagnostic imaging are not specific and it is frequently confused with other diseases. In Honduras and Central America, cases have been reported verbally. The origin of this disease can be primary or secondary to an infectious focus, which can be found in the hematogenous, lymphatic, rib cage/ribs or pleura. We present the case of a 36 years old patient with extrapulmonary tuberculosis, who showed up with breast compromise and was diagnosed tuberculosis by breast biopsy.
