Abstract

The bladder can be herniated through any abdominal opening; voiding is the most common symptom. Radiological tests allow diagnosis and detection of some of its complications. Bladder hernias through the inguinal canal are rare, as the bladder’s massive passage into the scrotum (scrotal cystocele), exceptional. We show the case of a 72-year-old male who went to the emergency department due to an increase in his usual voiding symptoms, dyspnea, and fever. Urinary sepsis and hemodynamic instability were demonstrated, and scrotal cystocele was evidenced.
