Abstract

Remitting seronegative symmetric synovitis with pitting edema (RS3PE) syndrome is characterized by symmetric synovitis that affects the small joints of the hands and feet with pitting edema in these areas. The importance of identifying this entity lies in its association with underlying pathologies, mostly solid organ neoplasms (especially adenocarcinomas) and hematological ones. We present the case of a patient with recurrent seronegative symmetric synovitis with edema secondary to extranodal B-cell non-Hodking lymphoma associated with gastric lymphoid tissue (gastric MALT lymphoma).
