Abstract

Enterococcus faecalis is a grampositive, anaerobic facultative coconut, the most important reservoir is the man because it is part of the normal microbiota. It is rarely a causative agent of septic arthritis due to its low affinity for osteoarticular tissues. We present an 81-year-old patient, with a permanent bladder catheter for low obstructive uropathy, with diagnosis of septic arthritis on a native joint.
