Fever and dermal lesions: does it have to do with the heart?

We present the clinical case of a 73-year-old patient who performs cardiac catheterization begins with erythematous maculopapular skin lesions associated with high fever. The key to the final diagnosis, like most cases involving several possible differential diagnoses, lies in a complete history and careful physical examination.
