Abstract

Takotsubo syndrome, also known as stress cardiomyopathy, is a transient ventricular dysfunction and is one of the most important pathologies in acute coronary syndrome differential diagnosis. Its etiology is not determined clearly, but several triggering risk factors have been described. It is now recognised as a frequent cause of heart failure. This case is evidence of a unique form of takotsubo syndrome, as it developed during immunoglobulin infusion and presented with recurrence of symptoms with significant early deterioration of ventricular function.
