Abstract

Osteomyelitis associated with Cat Scratch Disease is an uncommon atypical presentation in adults whose prognosis is good with first-line treatment (rifampicin). The case of a 27-year-old male who has axillary lymphadenopathy and subsequent cat scratch injury is added, after which he added back pain and hyperalgesia in dermatomes D10-11. He received broad spectrum treatment including second line scheme (azithromycin and doxycycline) presenting clinical improvement. We conclude the effectiveness of the second-line treatment in this patient by not presenting relapses.
