Abstract

Breast tuberculosis, disease described as rare, occurs relatively often in our environment. In Perú, it accounts from 2% to 2.9% of the total extrapulmonary tuberculosis, most of which occur in young women between 20 and 40 year-old with varying degrees of immunosuppression. Diagnosis is often confused with neoplasm, breast abscess or fibrocystic mastopathy due to unspecificity of the clinical picture and imaging studies.
