Abstract

Mammoplasty is becoming more common and a related complication is the “siliconoma”. We report a case of a 39-year female with bilateral breast prosthesis, prolonged febrile syndrome and a left axillary lymph node whose pathological anatomy was compatible with siliconoma.

Biopsy by fine needle aspiration of lymph nodes draining the site where the prosthesis are, is the diagnostic gold standard, and allows rule out a neoplastic process, however, can coexist.
