Abstract

A 56 year-old woman with many health problems was seen in the Internal Medicine department for chronic osteomuscular pain. She was smoker. She referred to dyspnea on exertion and exercise limitation. Diagnosis of COPD was confirmed by spirometry. COPD is now more common in women because of increased tobacco use among women. The purpose of this article is to examine gender differences in COPD and to improve the management of COPD in women.
