Abstract

Primary cardiac tumours are extremely rare, with the majority of them being benign. We present the case of a 42-year-old patient with a first episode of decompensated heart failure. The etiological study revealed a cardiac mass with hepatic, splenic, and lymphadenopathic involvement. She was diagnosed with metastatic cardiac angiosarcoma and started treatment with adriamycin. The non-specific nature of the symptoms and the low incidence meant that the disease was diagnosed in advanced stages. The prognosis was disastrous. The patient ended up dying from progressive liver failure.
