Abstract

A 82-year-old woman with a history of migraine, presented with suspect of posterior cerebral artery ischemic stroke. Examination revealed a platypnea-orthodeoxia syndrome. A transesophageal echocardiography was performed and it disclosed a permeable oval foramen, justifying clinical features. Percutaneous closure of it was executed, obtaining a clinical improvement.
