Abstract

We are presenting a 41-year-old man diagnosed of hypertension after a traffic accident. We described a rare presentation of a patient evaluated for hypertension where the studies conducted revealed the presence of a complete interruption of the aortic arch which had been asymtomatic till then. Taking into consideration the patient medical history during childhood, we considered it was a case of an inadvertent coarctation of the aorta progressing to complete interruption over time.
