Senegalese woman diagnosed with HIV during pregnancy

We present the case of a 23 years old woman from Senegal with a 26 weeks pregnancy. Recently arrived in the country without medical follow-up of her pregnancy. She consults due to the presence of an ulceration in the external genitalia that had appear recently. During the evolution of the disease, it is diagnosed with primary syphilis and HIV infection. We review the most important characteristics to be known in these pathologies in relation to pregnancy, such as their clinical management, antiretroviral treatment and the management with the newborn.
