Abstract

Genitourinary tuberculosis can vary in its presentation, reason why physician should familiarize with some of its different forms of presentation, is uncommon and often difficult to diagnose, reason why it can sometimes be incorrectly treated. We report a 24 year-old male presented with a testicular mass suspected to be malignant and was subjected to an orchiectomy. Histopathological analysis only showed vasculitis. After several months of ineffective treatments and tests he was diagnosed of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis through PCR. Standard antituberculous therapy was given and the patient evolved into complete clinical remission.
